Abstract
Catalonia has close historical links with the finest music being made today. This relationship is apparent in the majority of musical genres. It is no exaggeration to say that the level of creativity and production and of regular live venues all over the Catalan territory is of the very highest quality, indeed, in folk and classical music the country is an international point of reference. Catalan Sounds sets out to present the entire spectrum of musical creation across the Catalan territory, with a view to making it better known abroad: a spectrum that encompasses the most interesting established groups and artists and the newest talents now beginning to captivate listeners in the rest of the world.
