Abstract
Catalonia has close historical links with the finest music being made today. This relationship is apparent in the majority of musical genres. It is no exaggeration to say that the level of creativity and production and of regular live venues all over the Catalan territory is of the very highest quality, indeed, in folk and classical music the country is an international point of reference.
